Founded in 1998 with a single embroidery machine and a dream, Sandre has grown from a small home-based business into a multi-department branding and apparel manufacturer trusted across South Africa. What began as one woman selling handmade products at local markets has become a full-scale operation offering embroidery, sublimation, DTF printing, custom apparel manufacturing, signage, and more. All under one roof.
A Story That Started With a Dream
Sandre began in a small room in Bloemfontein, where founder Susan Breytenbach created tracksuits and embroidered garments to sell at local markets. With each sale, the business grew—eventually allowing her to purchase her first industrial embroidery machine and hire additional hands.
In the early 2000s, Sandre shifted its focus from small individual jobs to serving corporates, schools and organisations directly. This decision transformed the company, establishing Sandre as a regional industry leader with a reputation for innovation, quality and reliable service.
